Liane Wood, RP

Bio

Liane Wood is a Registered Psychotherapist (RP), who has combined her education in the mental health field with her own personal experiences.

She is an active board member with the Ontario Society of Registered Psychotherapists (OSRP) presently serving as treasurer, and is the lead developer/creator of OSRP’s Mentorship Program.

In her previous career of over 25 years in the finance and insurance industry, Liane held the professional designation Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) and had an unrestricted insurance broker’s license through the Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario (RIBO). She led and oversaw multiple large-scale projects, managed national teams of brokers, and designed processes and work flows with risk management in mind for various professions in the insurance field and in the manufacturing field.

With her past experience assisting other professions with interpreting regulations and then designing processes and workflows to reduce risk and improve efficiency, Liane now uses those skills to help OSRP members in their practices.

Practices, Policies and Procedures: June 22, 2022

The goal of this seminar is to equip OSRP members with the tools and knowledge needed to easily establish best practice techniques in their practices relating to:
  • processes, including:
o   clinical documentation
o   client intakes
o   client discharges
  • policies including:
o   late cancellations
o   payment for services collection
o   client file requests
  • procedures for:
o   informed consent
o   health information custodian successors
o   mandatory reports 
o   professional complaints

This seminar will begin with a review of CRPO’s standards and checklists relating to clinical records and fees. From there, participants will learn various strategies and techniques to meet and exceed regulatory practice standards, improve therapeutic alliances with clients and reduce the risk of professional complaints.

Whether you are new to practice or have been practising for a while, this seminar has something for every psychotherapist.

Participants will leave this seminar with practical tools to use right away and a clear path forward for improving processes, policies and procedures in their practices.
