CRPO Equity Standards Consultation: OSRP’s Response

Tue, November 03, 2026 11:06 PM | Anonymous

Share your feedback by Friday, November 13, 2026, at 4:30 p.m.

The College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) has published revised 2026 Draft Standards 3.8 and 3.9, on Cultural Humility and Non-Discrimination and Indigenous Cultural Humility and Non-Discrimination. These drafts contain revisions to the previous 2025 versions.

OSRP finds that the revised 2026 standards are markedly less supportive of equity and decolonial practice than the previous 2025 version.

CRPO is holding a public consultation through an anonymous survey. The consultation is open to registered psychotherapists, healthcare providers and members of the public. OSRP encourages everyone to review the proposed standards and provide individual feedback so CRPO can hear your voice.

OSRP has submitted a formal response to CRPO, in keeping with our evolving mandate to advance justice, equity and accessibility within the field of psychotherapy. Our response is available below for your information and as a resource.

Complete the consultation survey before 4:30 p.m. on Friday, November 13, 2026.
